Mélanie is the 8th generation to lead the Pfister wine business in Dahlenheim, northern Alsace. The region's cooler, more exposed climate results in wines that are fresher and punchier than the typical Alsace style. With an impressive career, Mélanie has worked at prestigious wineries such as Zind-Humbrecht, Méo-Camuzet, Château Cheval Blanc, Château d'Yquem, and Craggy Range. After taking over in 2006, she brought innovative winemaking ideas while respecting her father's legacy. In 2018, she began transitioning to organic practices and was the first non-German to join the 'Fair n Green' certification, promoting sustainability and fair practices in winemaking.
